The wedding of Giuseppe and Kate Chilled-Out Festival Vibes For A Cambridge Wedding Photographer
In the beautiful surroundings of Cambridge, it was the perfect place for a very relaxed festival wedding to celebrate the marriage of Kate and Guiseppe. This wedding was very special for me, my first time being a Cambridge wedding photographer but also my first festival wedding! What’s more, this gorgeous couple have a special story behind all these smiles and a few surprises too!
My relationship with this couple started last year when I contact Francesca from Something To Looking Forward To. I approached the charity looking for a couple that I could offer my work to and donate my time as a wedding photographer. Something To Look Forward To is a charity that provides experiences to individuals and families affected by cancer.
I firmly believe that everyone has the right to have beautiful professional photos taken and Something To Look Forward To matched me with the lovely couple, Kate and Giuseppe! Kate and Giuseppe were planning to get married in May of this year in a beautiful festival theme as they love to go to the festivals around Cambridge. They’ve chosen the All Saints Parish Church for the ceremony and the super cool Rosewood Pavilion in Chippenham for the reception.
Our match was meant to be; I got so excited because I do love festivals! I’ve been in a couple of them here in the UK and also in Europe, Brazil and Chile.
Kate was well on the road to recovery after cancer; she looks more radiant than ever! As a wedding photographer, it was a pleasure to capture her beauty! This wedding truly demonstrates the faith, trust and strength they both put in each other. They are always together and will always support each other.
Creative Kate loves to craft; she created many of the decorations including lots of little flags and bunting to complete the festival vibe. There were five cakes, with each one made for a friend of the couple.
A Wedding Full Of Surprises For A Cambridge Wedding Photographer
Giuseppe has an Italian family, so at the wedding there was a mix of people from Italy and the UK, all coming together as new friends and family, gathering to celebrate. Guess what? Before the wedding, Kate lied to Giuseppe pretending she was off to yoga classes. Instead of yoga, she was secretly taking Italian lessons so that she could make an excellent speech in his mother tongue! Just to be clear, Kate made her speech which is not traditional for a bride to do. However, as she says she is not traditional at all. She was leading the way before Princess Meghan launched the trend!
The only traditional thing at this wedding was the classic Italian shower of confetti in the first dance. Again as a Cambridge wedding photographer, this was a joy to capture. These people know how to party until there is no more energy left!
Yet another surprise came along too! Guess what? Kate is pregnant! I bloody love being a part of people’s story! Because of cancer, Kate thought she wouldn’t be able to have a baby, but destiny shows the beauty of life even when you don’t expect it.
The three words which sum up their relationship are; beautiful, strong and loving! You can see it in the photographs! Thanks for letting me being part of your wonderful day!
