Wedding at Bedford Pub in Balham

Annie & Gregory

Annie and Gregory tied the knot at The Bedford Pub, an awesome pub in the heart of Balham. What I really love about this pub is the mix of light and shadows which can result in dramatic photographs of the day. This pub is one of the most unique and charming venues for a wedding in Balham.
Pubs are a quintessential part of British culture, and getting married in one is a great way to embrace that culture on your wedding day. Pubs offer a relaxed and informal setting, which allows guests to let their hair down and have a good time.

For the day Annie wore a stunning tailored wedding dress and slit cut showing her beautiful legs. They stayed at the Pub which has a hotel so the suites are luxuries with quirky decor. The ceremony was in the room upstairs with some natural lights of September end of Summer.

Pre-wedding questions about their story:

What made you choose these venues?

We always wanted a pub wedding, we love going to the pub! And we wanted today to really reflect who we are and wanted it to feel very relaxed and fun. When we found a pub that is also a registered venue and a hotel it was perfect. It can all happen in one place and make it very easy for our guests.

What’s the story of your proposal?

We were on holiday in Spain where his parents live, we went out for dinner and then for a walk around the town square where there is a lovely little fountain. He said let me take a photo of you in front of the fountain and then he said turn around and look at the fountain and when I turned back again he was on one knee.

If you had three wishes to wish for our future, what would they be?
We stay healthy, we are always as close as we are now, and we never take each other for granted

Tell me more about your favorite trip together and the plans for the next one:

We love going to Spain to stay with Greg’s parents, it’s such a lovely town and now it’s even more special because it’s where we got engaged. For my 30th he took me to Rome which we both absolutely loved. We would love to see more of Italy together.
What excites you about getting married?
We are so excited to make that commitment to each other and call each other husband and wife.
